  • Several high-school basketball teams wrap up league titles

    Conference championships were clinched far and wide across Oakland County in recent days in both boys and girls basketball. Here are some of the more notable title-grabs accomplished as of late.

    The boys hoops squad at Birmingham Roeper (17-2) got things started in the third week of February when the Roughriders won their first league title in fifteen years.

  • High Sschool girls Basketball: Suburban announces all league honors

    Suburban Council rivals Saratoga Springs and Shenendehowa were well-represented when the 2009-10 Suburban Council Girls Basketball All-League Teams were announced this week.

    Kala Crawford represents the Blue Streaks on the second team and was also chosen for the Exceptional Senior Game, while the Plainsmen trio of Allie Setter, Emily Weber and Marissa Ray made the first, second and third teams, respectively, in the vote by the league’s coaches…
