• How Can I Improve my shots at West Point?

Question by Matt: How Can I Improve my shots at West Point?
Right now, I am a sophomore at my high school. I play football, I PLAYED basketball, and run track. I am class vice-president, member of leadership club, spanish club, and other things. I have roughly a 4.16 GPA and I’m wondering what I can do to better my shots at getting accepted. It has always been my dream to go there, so advice would really help out. Thanks

Contact your Senator or Congressional Representative and see if they can put in a good word for you.

First and foremost, young fella…what can I say…but thats hella of a great job,…continue to stay focused, and great opportunities will consistently prevail themselves in front of you.

A few great things that you can do to better your chances is to start building verbal and physical Rapport with counselors or recruiters that are in your community or that you may know. Also, start doing your research on finding West Point affiliated forms online in which you can correspond with those individuals in those groups to receive positive feedback in what you’re looking for.

I would recommend you begin to empower yourself regarding mental warfare and physical conditioning…these are areas in which you will be heavily tested in to include the academic correspondence which you must rank very high to reach your primary objective.

Enclosing, two things…1) try to get working insight on the M.O.S. in which you’re thinking about pursuing as a career. Ensure to check the career promotion progression scale related to that MOS, this is very important to how quickly you will be promoted in that MOS. Also, make sure this MOS is going to transfer into the civilian sector rewarding you with great financial benefit. 2) I would encourage you to implement a plyometric weight regiment and reinforce that regiment with 5-7 mile runs about 2-3 times a week. Don’t forget your body is ready to perform at its max level but you must replenish it with a great protein muscle builder supplement. Keep up the great job. good luck : )
